The Edwards P-039250 is the steel surface back box for 270 Series fire alarm pull stations. First, it allows surface installation where a flush 4-inch square box cannot be used. Then, it provides a steel alternative to the cast P-027193 back box.
This back box is purpose-built for the Edwards 270 Series. Specifically, it supports the 270-SPO, 270-DPO, and 270-DOC single- and double-pole pull stations. In addition, the box is finished in red to match the pull-station body.

Selecting Cast vs Steel
Edwards offers two surface back-box options for the 270 Series. Specifically, the P-027193 is cast metal, and the P-039250 is steel. Therefore, choose based on environmental requirements and installation preference. In addition, the STI-3150 protective pull-station enclosure is available where weatherproof or vandal-resistant coverage is required.
Specification Notes
The P-039250 is a passive back box. As a result, it carries no standalone UL listing of its own. Instead, agency compliance flows through the parent 270 Series pull station, which is UL Listed and (for 270-SPO) CSFM Listed.
