The DSC PC4001C is the large empty cabinet for the DSC MAXSYS (PC4020) intrusion control panel. It houses the main board, expansion modules, transformer, and standby battery in one enclosure.
The cabinet measures 12.9″ wide × 16″ high × 3.5″ deep. Therefore, it accepts the full MAXSYS PC4020 main board along with the typical complement of zone expanders and output modules.
The PC4001C is a security/intrusion enclosure. As a result, it is paired with DSC MAXSYS — a high-end commercial intrusion platform, not a fire alarm panel.

The PC4001C is designed for the DSC MAXSYS PC4020 intrusion control platform. Specifically, it holds the PC4020 main board plus PC4108 zone expanders, PC4216 output expanders, and PC4204CX power supplies. Furthermore, it accepts the system’s transformer and standby battery in one enclosed footprint.
Important Application Note
The PC4001C is a security/intrusion enclosure. Therefore, do not use it to house a fire alarm panel. For fire applications, use a UL 864 listed fire alarm panel enclosure instead.
