Hochiki (PE-6SN (110V) )power extender, 6 amp, sync notification (110v)

The Hochiki PE-6SN (110V) is a 6-amp 24 VDC switch-mode notification appliance power extender. It runs on 120/240 VAC 50/60 Hz input.

First, the PE-6SN takes a trigger from the host fire alarm control panel. Then it powers up to four NAC outputs at 24 VDC. As a result, large notification appliance loads do not draw from the main panel supply.

In addition, the PE-6SN includes four Class B Style “Y” NAC circuits. Specifically, each NAC is rated 3 amps maximum. Alternatively, the outputs can be reconfigured as up to two Class A Style “Z” circuits. Furthermore, a separate 3-amp DC output supports door holders or auxiliary loads.

Also, the PE-6SN generates sync for Potter, System Sensor, Gentex, and Wheelock notification appliances. However, mixed-brand sites benefit from QuadraSync, which lets appliances from different manufacturers sync to one timing source. Then a PassThru mode forwards the host panel’s input signal directly to the outputs.
