The DSC (PG4944) is a PowerG wireless outdoor PIR motion detector with integrated camera for intrusion-alarm systems. It operates on the 433 MHz PowerG band — the international (CE) variant, not the North American 915 MHz frequency.
The PG4944 is a security/intrusion sensor with alarm image verification. Therefore, it pairs with PowerG-compatible intrusion panels — not with fire alarm panels.
First, eight independent quad PIR detectors operate in true Quad configuration for accurate outdoor sensing. As a result, the detector resists false triggers from rain, sunlight, and animals. In addition, an integrated QVGA camera captures black-and-white or color images on alarm. Therefore, the monitoring station receives visual verification of each event. Furthermore, PowerG AES-128 encryption and adaptive frequency hopping secure the radio link.

Important Frequency Note
The PG4944 is the 433 MHz PowerG variant for international markets. For installations in North America, order the 915 MHz variant PG9944 instead. Also, confirm the panel’s PowerG frequency before ordering. Mixing 433 MHz and 915 MHz devices will not link.
Important Application Note
The PG4944 is an outdoor intrusion PIR with camera. Therefore, do not connect it to a fire alarm SLC or use it as a fire-system input. For fire-system detection, use a UL 268 or UL 521 listed device instead.
