The POTTER PAD200-DD is the analog addressable photoelectric detector head for Potter duct smoke housings. Specifically, it fits the PAD200-DUCT and PAD200-DUCTR. It is compatible with Potter IPA and AFC/ARC Series addressable fire alarm panels. Also, it samples HVAC duct air for products of combustion.
How the POTTER PAD200-DD Detects Smoke
The detector head uses photoelectric (light-scattering) sensing. As a result, it responds to the larger smoke particles typical of slow, smoldering fires. The alarm set point is fixed at 2.5%/ft. Furthermore, the head includes a self-diagnostic sensitivity test feature.
The PAD200-DD installs into the PAD200-DUCT housing along with STN-series sampling tubes. Specifically, tube lengths cover ducts from short stubs to large-area systems. The head sits inside the clear plastic cover for visual indication.
Discontinuation Note
Potter has discontinued the PAD200-DD. Therefore, the current replacement is the PAD300-DD detector head. In addition, the PAD200 housing remains compatible with later PAD300-series heads in many cases. Call us to confirm fit for your panel.
