The Potter Electric Signal RMS-6T-EXP-WP is a single-action explosion-proof manual fire alarm pull station. First, the die-cast metal housing is engineered for hazardous-location service. Then, the NEMA 4X weatherproof rating allows installation in wet or outdoor environments. As a result, the station suits refineries, chemical plants, petroleum storage, and marine applications.

The unit is UL Listed and Factory Mutual Approved for hazardous environments. Specifically, the approvals cover Class I Groups B, C, and D. In addition, the listings include Class II Groups E, F, and G. Furthermore, the station is rated for Class III service.
Also, the enclosure carries the NEMA 4X weatherproof rating. As a result, the device tolerates dust, hose-directed water, and corrosion. Therefore, the station is Marine-rated and CSFM Listed alongside MEA Approved and ADA Compliant designations.
Construction and operation
The housing is die-cast metal with a high-gloss red enamel finish. In addition, the face plate is red with raised white identification lettering. Specifically, the handle is white with raised red letters. Furthermore, the unit has two 3/4″-14 NPT conduit fittings for hazardous-rated conduit termination.
Single-action operation: pull the handle down all the way to activate. Specifically, the handle locks into the activated position. Furthermore, the latched handle is easily recognizable from at least 50 feet away. As a result, technicians confirm activation visually across the area. To reset, open the station with a key and return the handle to the upright position.
