The Edwards SA-TRIM2 is the semi-flush mount trim kit for the iO500 intelligent fire alarm panel cabinet. It is the companion piece used when the iO500 cabinet is installed semi-flush in a finished wall. For surface mount installations, no trim kit is required because the cabinet finish is already exposed.
What the Edwards SA-TRIM2 is for
First, the trim kit covers the rough opening around the cabinet after the wall finish is applied. As a result, the finished installation has a clean perimeter against the drywall, paneling, or block. Therefore, the SA-TRIM2 is normally ordered together with an iO500 cabinet that will sit recessed in the wall.
Selection guidance
This trim is sized specifically for the iO500 enclosure. For the smaller iO64 cabinet, order the SA-TRIM1 (black) flush mount trim instead. Furthermore, the trim kit only ships when a semi-flush cabinet installation is planned; the cabinet itself ships with surface-mount hardware as standard.
Ordering notes
One SA-TRIM2 per iO500 cabinet that is being installed semi-flush. Edwards does not publish standalone UL listings for trim kits; agency listings flow from the parent iO500 panel.
