The Hochiki SCI-B4 is a 4-inch DCP analog sensor base with built-in short-circuit isolation. It combines a detector mount with loop fault isolation in one footprint.
First, install the SCI-B4 in place of a standard sensor base. Then mount a compatible Hochiki digital analog head on top. As a result, the SLC segment around this base stays isolated if a short occurs locally.
Compatible Hochiki Digital Analog Detectors
Specifically, the SCI-B4 supports the NS Digital Analog detector range. In addition, compatible heads include AIE-EA, ALG-V, ALK-V, ALN-V, ATG-EA, ATJ-EA, ACA-V, ACC-V, and ACD-V. However, conventional detectors will not seat on this base.

Installation and Maintenance Notes
Furthermore, sensors can be swapped without breaking loop continuity. Also, the optional anti-tamper tab locks the head once seated. Therefore, public-area installations gain protection against casual removal.
