The Edwards SIGA-DGMF is the optional detector guard mounting flange for the Signature Series SIGA-DG detector guard. It is used when the SIGA-DG is installed in applications that need an additional flange interface between the guard and the ceiling or detector base mount.
What the SIGA-DG family does
First, the SIGA-DG detector guard prevents mechanical damage to Signature Series smoke detectors. Then the guard installs over the detector without affecting performance or required sensitivity. Per Edwards documentation, the guard does not change the listed detector spacing.
Construction
The SIGA-DG guard itself is 16-gauge steel with a white enamel finish, secured by tamper-proof fasteners. Specifically, the SIGA-DGMF flange shares this construction style for visual and material consistency. Furthermore, Edwards does not publish standalone UL listings for the guard or its flange; the parent detector retains its UL 268 or UL 521 listing.
Compatibility
The SIGA-DG family installs over Signature detectors including the SIGA-IPHS, XLS-IPHS, SIGA-PS, XLS-PS, and GSA-PS. In addition, the guard works with the SIGA-IB, SIGA-RB, SIGA-SB, and matching XLS/GSA detector bases.
Selection guidance
Order the SIGA-DGMF when the application calls for the optional mounting flange in addition to the SIGA-DG guard. For surface-mount installations, order the SIGA-DGS surface adapter instead. Edwards does not publish a separate SKU-specific datasheet for the SIGA-DGMF; verify dimensional fit against the SIGA-DG/DGS spec sheet prior to ordering.
