The Silent Knight OSI-RI-SK is an intelligent single-ended reflective beam smoke detector. First, it protects large open spaces that spot detectors cannot cover well. As a result, it suits high ceilings and wide floor areas.

The unit combines the transmitter and receiver in one housing. Then it aims at a reflector mounted across the protected area. In addition, imaging-based optical technology detects smoke entering the beam path. Therefore, it provides reliable coverage with simplified alignment.
Where it fits
Ideal sites include warehouses, atriums, and aircraft hangars. Also, arenas and concert halls benefit from long-range beam coverage. The detector connects as an addressable point on the Silent Knight SLC.
Listings and planning
The OSI-RI-SK is UL listed, FM approved, and CSFM listed. However, plan device counts carefully, because SLC current draw limits how many beam detectors a loop supports.
