The Silent Knight SK-FSL is a single-mode fiber module for panel networking. First, it links network nodes over single-mode fiber. As a result, panels can communicate across long distances on a campus.
Silent Knight SK-FSL single-mode fiber
The module connects with LC-style fiber connectors. In addition, it runs on 9/125-micrometer single-mode cable. Therefore, it supports a maximum cable attenuation of 30 dB between nodes.
Where it fits
The SK-FSL belongs to the SK-FML and SK-FSL fiber family. Specifically, the SK-FSL handles single-mode runs, while the SK-FML handles multimode. Moreover, fiber isolates the network from electrical noise and ground loops.
Compatibility
The module works with the Silent Knight 6000 Series, including the 6820. Finally, it helps build a resilient multi-panel fire alarm network.
