The Simplex 4006-9801 is the expansion power supply for the 4006 fire alarm control panel. It adds notification and signal power to the system. Specifically, it installs as an internal option board.
How the Simplex 4006-9801 installs
The board mounts inside the 4006 panel chassis. Factory harnesses connect it to the master system board. These include a 120/240 V harness, a signal-power harness, and a control harness. In addition, a system-battery harness ties in standby power.
What it adds
The expansion power supply increases available alarm power. As a result, larger notification loads fit within one panel. It accepts 120 or 240 VAC input through its supply harness.
Application
Installers add this module when a 4006 system grows. Therefore, it suits expansions and retrofits without a second panel.
