The Simplex 4090-9107 is the Class A IDNet fiber-optic transmitter for 4009 IDNet NAC Extender installations. First, it converts IDNet communication onto a fiber link between the host panel and the extender. In addition, the fiber path resists electrical noise and ground loops. Therefore, the 4090-9107 suits long runs and electrically noisy environments.
Class A Fiber Output
The 4090-9107 provides a Class A, Style 7 output configuration. Specifically, the link uses redundant fiber paths for survivable communication. As a result, a single fiber break does not interrupt panel-to-extender messaging. Furthermore, the topology meets NFPA 72 survivability requirements for many applications.
Fiber Installation Notes
Maintain a minimum 2-inch (51 mm) cable bend radius. However, the manufacturer specification on the fiber takes precedence if it is tighter. Also, follow the 4009 IDNet NAC Extender installation guide for connector preparation and termination.
Use With 4009 IDNet NAC Extenders
The 4090-9107 forms half of an IDNet fiber pair with a 4009 receiver. Then, the extender drives downstream notification and addressable devices remotely. In addition, the fiber link removes copper-distance and ground-loop concerns. Therefore, designers reach distant fire zones from a central host panel.
