The System Sensor SPSCR is a red ceiling speaker strobe for fire alarm notification. First, it combines evacuation audio with a synchronized strobe. Specifically, it serves commercial and institutional buildings. As a result, occupants receive both audible and visible alerts.
System Sensor SPSCR features
This SpectrAlert Advance device uses a dual-voltage transformer speaker. Therefore, it operates at either 25 or 70.7 Vrms. In addition, a rotary switch sets the power tap from 1/4 to 2 watts. The speaker frequency range spans 400 to 4,000 Hz. Also, the strobe flashes once per second.
The SPSCR offers standard candela settings of 15, 15/75, 30, 75, 95, 110, and 115. Furthermore, installers select candela in the field. Strobe current draw varies by the chosen candela. However, the device runs on regulated 12 or 24 VDC.
Listings and specifications
The speaker is listed to UL 1480, and the strobe is listed to UL 1971. In addition, the strobe meets NFPA 72 visible-signaling requirements. The red housing measures 6.8 inches in diameter and 2.8 inches deep. Finally, it operates from 32F to 120F at up to 93% humidity.
