The STI STI-3100 is a clear polycarbonate conduit spacer with frame, designed for the STI Stopper II Series pull-station covers. First, the installer fastens the spacer to the wall. Then a flush-mount Stopper II cover attaches over it. As a result, the spacer converts a flush-mount cover into a surface-mount assembly with 2-inch added depth.

Many retrofits require surface conduit but only flush-mount Stopper II covers are stocked. However, swapping cover styles is expensive. Therefore, the STI-3100 lets installers reuse the flush cover while gaining the conduit clearance of a surface mount.

Specifically, the STI-3100 applies anywhere a flush-mount Stopper II cover meets surface-run conduit. For example, masonry retrofits often expose the conduit; therefore, the added 2-inch depth conceals the conduit run cleanly. Also, the clear polycarbonate keeps the underlying pull station fully visible.
Application context
