The STI STI-9763 is a compact wall-mount wire guard for fire alarm horn-strobes. First, it shields the appliance from vandalism and accidental impact. In addition, the steel-wire cage preserves audible and visible alarm output. Therefore, alarm performance is not blocked.
STI STI-9763 construction
First, the cage is built from 9-gauge steel wire. Then, the wire is coated with corrosion-resistant white polyester. Specifically, the unit measures 6.2 in. H x 4.76 in. W x 4 in. D. As a result, it fits compact wall-mounted L Series horn-strobes.
Mounting and service
First, the guard mounts around exposed conduit on the wall. In addition, mounting screws and anchors ship with the unit. Then, installation is fast and straightforward. Furthermore, the cage removes easily for service or replacement. As a result, ongoing maintenance is not impeded.
This wire guard is intended for indoor use only. STI lists the unit as UL/cUL. For the red-coated variant, see the STI-9763-R.
