The STI STI-8230-SS is a stainless steel Smoke Detector Damage Stopper® with conduit spacer. The spacer adapts the heavy-duty cover to surface-mounted smoke detectors. In addition, it includes a knockout for mounting around exposed conduit.
STI constructs the cover and spacer from 1.2 mm, 304 corrosion-resistant stainless steel. That grade is considered surgical or medical-grade stainless. Therefore, it suits food processing plants, commercial kitchens, restaurants, and correctional facilities. A matrix of perforations lets smoke reach the detector freely.
