The System Sensor DST5 is a 5-foot steel sampling tube for duct smoke detectors. It draws an air sample from the HVAC duct. As a result, the detector can sense smoke moving through the airflow.
System Sensor DST5 Sizing and Fit
First, match the sampling tube length to the duct width. The DST5 suits ducts from 4 to 8 feet wide. In addition, it works with both conventional and intelligent System Sensor duct smoke detectors.
Installation
The patented tube installs from the front or back of the detector. Therefore, no tools are required. Also, the sampling holes face into the airflow to capture a representative sample.
