The Tyco (801HEX) is an intrinsically safe heat detector for hazardous-area fire detection. Specifically, it belongs to the Tyco 800Ex Series of MX addressable detectors. Therefore, it serves Minerva MX systems in explosive-risk environments.
The detector reports the status of its heat element to the panel. In addition, it transmits as a digital addressable device. It plugs into a MUBEx detector base.
