The Vesda OSE-SPW emitter is a standard-power, wired emitter for OSID systems. Specifically, it pairs with an OSID imager to detect smoke across open areas. First, the emitter sends coded infrared and ultraviolet light to the imager. Then, the imager watches that beam for smoke.
This emitter runs on 24 VDC wired power. As a result, it needs no batteries for operation. In addition, it works with the OSI-10 imager and other OSID imagers.
How the Vesda OSE-SPW emitter works
OSID stands for Open-area Smoke Imaging Detection. The dual light frequencies help separate real smoke from dust, steam, and insects. Therefore, the system resists false alarms. Furthermore, the wired design gives reliable, continuous power.
