The Vesda VES-A00-P-UL is the VESDA-E VES sector-addressable aspirating smoke detector from Life Safety Consultants. It pinpoints smoke by individual sampling sector. As a result, responders know which area is affected.
How the Vesda VES-A00-P-UL works
This detector samples air through four pipes, called sectors. First, a valve mechanism and air-control software manage each sector. Then, the detector measures smoke density per sector. Therefore, one zone can be split into four distinct areas.
The VES provides four alarm thresholds per sector: Alert, Action, Fire 1, and Fire 2. In addition, an intuitive LCD display and LEDs show instant status. An onboard event log stores up to 20,000 events for diagnostics.
Detection and listing
The VES uses Flair detection for early warning and strong dust rejection. Furthermore, it is listed to UL 268 7th edition. Always install it per the manufacturer’s product guide and NFPA 72.
