The Farenhyt WIDP-MONITOR is a SWIFT wireless monitor module from Silent Knight. Specifically, it brings dry-contact devices onto a Farenhyt addressable system over a wireless mesh.
First, the module is paired with a WIDP-WGI SWIFT wireless gateway on the host panel. Then it monitors a contact device such as a waterflow switch, pull station, or security contact. As a result, the panel sees the device as an addressable monitor point — without running wire to it.
Farenhyt WIDP-MONITOR Key Features
- Intelligent addressable wireless monitor module for the Silent Knight / Honeywell Farenhyt SWIFT platform
- Operates on the SWIFT wireless mesh network at 902–928 MHz
- Powered by four CR-123A batteries (included with the device)
- Non-latching contact input; reset is panel-controlled
- Panel-controlled LED indicator
- Used with the WIDP-WGI SWIFT wireless gateway
Where the WIDP-MONITOR Is Used
Typically, WIDP-MONITOR is installed where pulling wire is impractical. For example, historic buildings, retrofit spaces, and remote outbuildings benefit from a wireless monitor point. As a result, contractors save time and avoid disturbing finishes.
However, the monitored device must be wired close to the module. Specifically, field wiring must be 3 ft or less, or up to 20 ft if installed in non-metallic conduit. Therefore, location planning is part of the install.
