The Edwards 6536A-G5 is a combined horn/strobe with an amber lens. The unit operates on 24-volt AC power.
First, the horn produces an audible alert. Then, the xenon strobe head flashes through the amber lens for visual signaling. As a result, occupants get both audible and visual notification at the same point.
This unit uses 24V AC power rather than 24V DC. Therefore, it ties into an AC-driven signal circuit rather than a DC NAC.
