Mircom PS-24 24 VAC / 40 VA Plug-In Transformer
The Mircom PS-24 is a plug-in transformer for the Mircom TX3 access control and intercom system. First, it converts 120 VAC at 60 Hz into 24 VAC output. As a result, TX3 lobby panels and accessories get clean low-voltage power from any standard duplex outlet.
Power rating is 40 VA at the 24 VAC output. In addition, the unit plugs directly into a 120 V AC duplex receptacle. Therefore, installation is fast — no separate transformer-can wiring is required.
Mircom PS-24 construction
The transformer ships in a sealed high-impact thermoplastic case. Specifically, this provides durability and electrical isolation for residential and commercial deployments. Furthermore, the integrated plug design means there are no external screw terminals at the line side.
For TX3 lobby panels, the PS-24 is the standard primary power source. Also, the unit is field-proven across many years of Mircom intercom deployments.
Typical applications
Typical installs include TX3 lobby control units and TX3 access controllers in apartment buildings, condominium lobbies, and commercial entry points. However, fire alarm control panels use different transformers — the PS-24 is for access/intercom only.
