The System Sensor WAV-RL is a red SWIFT wireless wall-mount AV base for L-Series notification appliances. First, it mounts an L-Series wall horn, strobe, or speaker strobe. Specifically, it joins the SWIFT wireless mesh network. As a result, the appliance needs no signaling wire to the panel.
System Sensor WAV-RL features
This AV base both powers the appliance and handles wireless communication. Therefore, it links to the fire alarm control panel over SWIFT. In addition, it draws power from two separate battery sets. One set runs the radio, while the other drives the audible and visual signal.
The wireless battery life is UL listed for at least two years. Furthermore, the base accepts standard L-Series AV devices. As a result, installers keep flexibility in color, placement, and output.
Where it fits
The WAV-RL suits retrofits where running new wire is costly or disruptive. Also, it works in finished spaces such as offices, schools, and healthcare buildings. However, confirm SWIFT gateway compatibility before installation.
