The Simplex 4098-9788 is a non-addressable 2-wire detector base designed for use with Simplex 4098 Series smoke and heat detectors, as well as the QuickConnect2 photo sensor. It provides connections for a remote alarm LED indicator and features screw terminals for IDC and LED wiring (18 to 14 AWG). The base supports ceiling or wall mounting and is intended for conventional (non-addressable) applications. For 4-wire configurations, use the 4098-9682 relay base. Heat detectors require the 4098-9684 base when used with a remote LED.
