The Edwards 4-BRKT-CB is a mounting bracket that adapts an EST4 module to an EST3 3-CHAS7 chassis. First, it mounts on the back plane of the 3-CHAS7. In addition, it provides space for exactly one of six listed EST4 modules. As a result, EST3 sites can adopt EST4 modules without replacing the entire chassis assembly.
Edwards 4-BRKT-CB Compatibility
The bracket accepts any one of these modules: 4-ANNCPU, 4-FWAL-1, 4-FWAL-2, 4-FWAL-3, 4-FWAL-4, or a 4-NET-AD. Therefore, it suits both annunciator-CPU and FlexWire audio-link migrations. Also, only one module fits per bracket; install a second bracket for additional modules. Furthermore, the side-mounting equivalent is the 4-BRKT-CS, which does not support the 4-ANNCPU.
Installation Notes
Specifically, the bracket fits on the back plane of an EST3 3-CHAS7 (seven-LRM-space chassis). In addition, the 3-CHAS7 ships standard inside 3-CAB7B, 3-CAB14B, 3-CAB21B, and 3-RCC family enclosures. However, verify that an open back-plane position is available before ordering. As a result, the bracket integrates EST4 modules into existing EST3 cabinets without rework.
Listings and Weight
Ship weight: 1.1 lb (0.5 kg). The EST4 system carries UL 864 10th edition listings as a complete assembly. Therefore, the bracket is covered under the system listing once a supported module is installed. The bracket itself carries no standalone listing.
