The Simplex 4005-9807 is an additional five-slot power distribution board for the Simplex 4005 fire alarm control panel. Internally, Simplex tags it part number 565-471. As a result, this is the same backplane used in the 4005’s base configuration on the right side of the back box.
Specifically, you add this board when the plug-in module count exceeds the base five slots. In addition, the board is also required when connecting an expansion power supply to a 4005 panel.
Where the Simplex 4005-9807 fits
The 4005-9807 mounts on the left side of the 4005 back box. Then it bridges signal power from the power supply to the output boards. Furthermore, it routes 24 VDC auxiliary power to the panel’s TB1 terminal block.
Typical use is in 4005-platform retrofits and upgrades that outgrow the original five-slot capacity. However, this board is specific to the Simplex 4005 platform. As a result, it is not a drop-in replacement for the 4007ES, 4010, or 4100 series.
