The Simplex 4009-9809 NAC repeater is an IDNet repeater option card for the 4009 platform.
This card extends the IDNet communication channel with a power and distance boost. First, it regenerates the IDNet signal from the host panel. Then it retransmits that signal at full host-panel IDNet levels.
Simplex 4009-9809 NAC repeater capacity
A repeated section of the channel supports up to 100 devices. However, the host IDNet channel and all repeated sections combined must not exceed 250 devices. As a result, designers can extend coverage without exceeding system limits. Therefore, the 4009-9809 suits large or spread-out IDNet installations.
