The Genesis 53041108 is a general-purpose RG-6 coaxial cable from Southwire’s Genesis® line. It has a bare-copper center conductor and a dual-shield construction with foil plus 60% aluminum braid. As a result, the cable rejects EMI and RFI well on CATV and security camera runs. Furthermore, the cable ships in a 1000-foot pull box with a black PVC jacket.

Installation Notes for Genesis 53041108
First, this is a general-purpose CATV coaxial cable, NOT a fire alarm cable. Therefore, do NOT use it on UL 1424 power-limited fire alarm circuits. Then, the CM general-purpose rating allows install in non-plenum, non-riser horizontal spaces. However, this cable is NOT plenum-rated and NOT riser-rated. As a result, do not run it vertically between floors or in air-handling spaces per NEC 800.179.
