The Edwards ANSSW8 is an optional control and indication module for the ANS audio system. Specifically, it adds 8 momentary contact switches and 8 tri-color (green/red/amber) LEDs to the panel. As a result, an operator can manually trigger paging, emergency messages, or zone control functions.

This module is used with the ANSZM4B2A zone splitter and other ANS accessories. Therefore the switches replace pull-down inputs when manual zone control is required. Furthermore, each switch may be programmed for paging, message activation, or general control.

Edwards ANSSW8 Function

Each of the 8 switches is a momentary contact type. In addition, each switch has its own tri-color LED for status indication. The green LED shows zone normal; red indicates active alarm or in-use; amber indicates trouble. Therefore the operator gets immediate visual confirmation of each zone state.

Application Notes

The ANSSW8 is required when the system needs manual operator control over individual paging zones. Specifically, it provides the operator interface for the ANSZM4B2A zone splitter. Also, the tri-color LEDs eliminate the need for separate annunciation when zone state must be visible at the panel.
