ATLAS SOUND (VTF-152UCR) Voice/Tone Compression Driver Speaker –

The ATLAS SOUND VTF-152UCR is a UL 1480 listed recessed compression-driver speaker for fire protective signaling. Specifically, it provides voice and tone reproduction in a red recessed housing.

First, the VTF-152UCR mounts flush into a standard 4-inch electrical outlet box. Then, the on-board 25V transformer accepts power taps at 15 W, 8 W, 4 W, or 2 W. As a result, system designers match output level to room coverage. In addition, the high-efficiency compression driver maximizes intelligibility in voice-evac and tone-only applications. Therefore, it suits parking garages, stairwells, mechanical rooms, and outdoor protected areas where vandal- and weather-resistance matter.

Construction and Mounting

Furthermore, the VTF-152UCR uses die-cast, water-sealed construction. The housing resists vandalism, vermin, moisture, corrosion, and vibration. Specifically, the unit mounts into a standard 4″ E.O. (single-gang square) box. Alternatively, install it into a 4 11/16″ SQ back box using an Atlas AR or MR adapter ring (sold separately). All connections terminate on barrier strips for easy field service.
