The Macurco CM-6 is a fixed carbon monoxide (CO) gas detector and controller. It monitors CO levels in commercial spaces. As a result, it helps protect people where engines or combustion run.
This low-voltage unit works three ways. First, it acts as a stand-alone detector and controller. In addition, it serves as an analog transducer for Macurco control panels such as the DVP-120.
How the Macurco CM-6 Works
The CM-6 powers from 12-24VAC or 12-32VDC. Then it reports gas levels through a 4-20mA analog output. Also, its dual relays can drive ventilation fans or alarm devices.
Typical applications include parking garages and boiler rooms. Specifically, these spaces can build up dangerous CO from vehicles and equipment. Therefore, continuous monitoring is essential for occupant safety.
