Resideo DT8050V Dual-Tec Wired Motion Sensor
The Resideo DT8050V is a wired dual-technology motion detector. It combines passive infrared (PIR) sensing with X-band microwave Doppler. As a result, it triggers only when both technologies see movement. Therefore, it ignores HVAC drafts, sunlight, and small-animal motion.
The DT8050V is an intrusion motion sensor for burglary alarm zones. It is not a fire-alarm initiating device.

How the Dual-Tec Logic Works
PIR sensors react to body heat moving across the field of view. However, sunlight through windows and reflective surfaces can fool PIR alone. The microwave channel adds Doppler motion detection through soft objects. Therefore, dual-channel “AND” logic filters out single-channel false trips.
Pet immunity up to 100 lb keeps larger dogs from triggering nuisance alarms. Also, a fluorescent-light filter rejects 50/60 Hz lamp flicker.

Mount per the Honeywell DT8050V installation guide. For example, the DT8050V suits offices, retail floors, warehouses, and storefronts with sun exposure. In addition, it pairs with most burglary panels via the Form A alarm relay.
