The Ditek DTK-2MHLP12BWB is a 12 V hybrid, field-replaceable surge suppression module bundled with a hardwired mounting base. It protects two signal pairs on low-voltage voice, data, and signaling circuits — and ships as a complete, ready-to-install assembly.

The DTK-2MHLP12BWB uses multi-stage SAD (silicon avalanche diode) hybrid technology. Therefore, the gas-discharge front end and SAD back end clamp transients together for low let-through voltage.

First, the hardwired base accepts straight-in / straight-out conductor terminations at the install point. As a result, no separate base is required — order one DTK-2MHLP12BWB per two pairs and install. In addition, the module above the base is hot-swappable; a damaged module pulls out and a fresh one snaps in without re-terminating wiring. Furthermore, multi-base assemblies can share a common ground, scaling protection up to 10 pairs.

Typical Applications

Important Application Note

The DTK-2MHLP12BWB is the module + hardwired base bundle — installable as a complete assembly. The 12 V module must match the loop voltage. Therefore, do not apply a 12 V module to a 24 V or 48 V loop, and vice-versa. If you need the module only (to add to an existing multi-up Snap-Track base), order the DTK-2MHLP12B instead.
