The Ditek DTK-MRJPOES is a single-channel PoE surge protector with shielded RJ45 in/out connectors. Specifically, it protects 10GbE Power-over-Ethernet links up to 144 W on shielded twisted-pair (STP) cable. Furthermore, the shielded connectors carry the cable’s drain pair to ground. As a result, no separate earth-ground screw is required when STP is used.

First, the DTK-MRJPOES uses a hybrid SAD + GDT topology. Therefore, it clamps fast transients at the gas-discharge stage and the silicon avalanche diode stage together. In addition, the protector covers all four pairs in a CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT6A STP cable. Specifically, surge current rating is 20 kA per pair.

Also, the DTK-MRJPOES is FDOT APL listed. Specifically, that listing makes it eligible for Florida DOT roadway and intersection deployments. Installation Note

The DTK-MRJPOES works correctly only with shielded cable terminated to shielded jacks on both ends. Specifically, the cable’s drain wire must be continuous from the protector through to the equipment. As a result, the protector can dump transient energy through the shield path. Also, the ABS housing is for indoor or sheltered mounting. For exposed outdoor mounting, use the DTK-MRJPOEX in its NEMA 4X enclosure.
