Edwards EST (SFS1-ELEC) Replacement Electronics

The Edwards SFS1-ELEC is the complete replacement electronics package for the EST 3X-SFS1R fire alarm control panel. Specifically, it bundles the SFS1-CPU main board, the 4X-LCD user interface, the electronics chassis, and 4X-LRMF filler plates as a single sub-assembly.

First, the SFS1-CPU processes all module activity within the cabinet. Then it handles data received from other panels over the network data riser. In addition, when a network card is installed, the CPU automatically determines the card type via its command set.

Application

This package is intended for the 3X-SFS1R single-cabinet EST3 panel platform. It supports both standalone and networked configurations. Furthermore, the kit is the manufacturer-defined service replacement for the panel’s electronics tray when field repair requires a full electronics swap rather than a board-level replacement.

What this is NOT

• It is not a pull station replacement board — original LSC copy framing this as a “pull station electronics module” was incorrect. The SFS1 is an EST3 fire alarm control panel.
• It is not just the CPU — the SFS1-CPU sub-assembly is sold separately. The SFS1-ELEC bundle is the larger electronics package.
• It is not compatible with non-3X-SFS1R cabinets — the package is purpose-built for that specific EST3 single-cabinet model.

Installation

Replacement should be performed by a trained EST3 service technician. As a result, system power must be removed before electronics removal, and the system must be re-programmed or re-loaded from backup after installation. Finally, post-service functional verification per NFPA 72 inspection procedures is required.
