The Edwards EST SIGA-PD is a current-generation intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector for the Signature Series fire alarm platform. The SIGA-PD communicates over the Signature Loop Controller (SLC) to deliver device-level addressing, real-time status, automatic drift compensation, and sensitivity diagnostics to compatible Edwards fire alarm control panels.
Photoelectric detection technology makes the SIGA-PD particularly effective at detecting slow-smoldering fires in occupied spaces — offices, corridors, hotel guest rooms, healthcare facilities, and educational buildings. The SIGA-PD is the updated production equivalent of the SIGA-PS and mounts on all standard Signature Series bases: the SIGA-SB, SIGA-IB, and SIGA-SB4. It is the current preferred photoelectric detector head for Edwards Signature Series new construction and retrofit projects.
