The Edwards G1AVRN is a Genesis G1 Series wall-mount horn/strobe in red with no FIRE marking. First, it combines a multi-candela strobe with a temporal-pattern horn in a compact one-gang form factor. As a result, it covers both audible and visible notification with a single appliance.
The Genesis G1 family is among the most compact UL 1971-listed horn/strobes available. In fact, the device protrudes less than one inch from the mounting surface. Therefore, it works well in architectural spaces where flush, low-profile appliances are preferred.
Edwards G1AVRN field-selectable settings
Field-configurable switches under the cover let the installer pick the candela output, the horn dB level, and the horn pattern. As a result, one part number covers many notification scenarios. Candela settings are 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd. In addition, the horn supports either high dB (default) or low dB output. Furthermore, the temporal pattern can be switched to steady tone for coded-circuit use.

Agency listings
UL 1971 (visible signal for hearing impaired), UL 1638 (general visible signaling), UL 464 (audible signal appliance), ULC S525 and ULC S526, CSFM, CE, FCC, and MEA. In addition, the unit complies with the ADA Code of Federal Regulations Chapter 28 Part 36 when installed per manufacturer guidelines.
Synchronization sources
Use the G1M or G1M-RM Genesis Signal Master to drive horn-silence and strobe sync. Also compatible are the SIGA-CC1S and SIGA-MCC1S Signature Series sync modules, plus the BPS6A and BPS10A booster power supplies.
Red, no-FIRE variant
The “RN” suffix means Red housing with No FIRE marking. As a result, the appliance can serve general signaling or mass-notification roles where “FIRE” lettering is not desired. For a red unit with FIRE marking, specify G1R-HDVM. For a white equivalent, see G1AVWN (no marking) or G1F-HDVM (FIRE marking, white).
