The Edwards G1T-FIRE is a white trim plate for the Genesis G1 Series notification appliances with FIRE silkscreen markings. First, it covers oversized wall openings around a G1 horn, strobe, or horn/strobe. As a result, installations on two-gang or 4-inch square electrical boxes look clean and finished.
This trim plate is a passive mechanical accessory. Therefore, it carries no electrical specification, no agency listing, and no notification function on its own.
Where the Edwards G1T-FIRE fits
Genesis G1 wall appliances are designed for a standard 1-gang flush or surface box. However, when the rough-in opening is larger than 1-gang, the bare appliance leaves an exposed gap. As a result, installers add a trim plate to cover the opening. The G1T-FIRE accommodates two-gang, 4-inch square, octagonal, and European 100 mm square electrical boxes.

What this trim plate is not
The G1T-FIRE does not include the horn, strobe, or horn-strobe appliance. Also, it is not a back-box; the installer still mounts a standard electrical box behind the wall surface. Therefore, order the G1T-FIRE alongside the appropriate G1 notification device and the back-box that suits the wall construction.
