The System Sensor EPS10-1 is an alarm pressure switch for automatic sprinkler systems. It signals the fire alarm panel when sprinkler discharge raises line pressure above its setpoint.
Specifically, the EPS10-1 contains a single SPDT contact set rated for low- and line-voltage circuits. Then, on a rising-pressure event, the switch transfers and reports through the fire-alarm initiating device circuit. In addition, the setpoint is field-adjustable across the 4 to 20 PSI band. As a result, installers can tune the alarm threshold to match the local sprinkler riser’s static pressure.

- Factory setpoint: 4 to 8 PSI on rising pressure
- Maximum operating pressure: 300 PSI
- Differential: approximately 3 PSI throughout the range
- Contact rating: 10.0 A @ 125/250 VAC; 2.5 A @ 6/12/24 VDC
- Operating temperature: -40 to 160 °F
- Pressure connection: 1/2″ NPT male, glass-reinforced nylon
- Enclosure rating: NEMA 4 (indoor/outdoor)
Sprinkler System Compatibility
Use the EPS10-1 with wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action automatic sprinkler systems. For example, mount it on the riser or on a dedicated alarm test port. However, do not exceed 300 PSI line pressure. Alternatively, for dual-switch redundancy, the EPS10-2 provides two SPDT contacts.
