The System Sensor EPS10-2 is an alarm pressure switch with two SPDT contacts. It detects water flow in automatic sprinkler systems. As a result, it signals a sprinkler discharge to the fire alarm panel.
How the System Sensor EPS10-2 Works
First, rising pressure from a sprinkler discharge actuates the switch. Then its two SPDT (Form C) contacts transfer. Therefore, the panel receives both alarm and auxiliary signals.
In addition, the switch suits wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action sprinkler systems. The pressure setpoint is field adjustable from 4 to 20 psi. However, the factory sets it to respond at 4 to 8 psi on rising pressure.
