The Evax EVAX-50 is a 50-watt voice evacuation panel for commercial fire alarm systems. It works with a UL listed fire alarm control panel to form a listed voice evacuation system. Specifically, it combines an amplifier, tone generator, digital message repeater, and supervisory interface. As a result, one panel handles emergency voice and tone signaling.
Evax EVAX-50 voice evacuation overview
This panel delivers 50 watts of speaker power. In addition, it stores a standard pre-recorded evacuation message in its digital message repeater. The built-in microphone allows live paging override. Also, the panel generates a temporal alarm pattern.
The EVAX-50 includes its own power supply and battery charger. Therefore, it runs on 120 VAC with standby batteries for backup. Furthermore, it accepts standby batteries up to 18 Ah.
Installation and use
The panel mounts in a surface or semi-flush backbox. Moreover, the door is hinged and key-locked for security. First, technicians wire 120 VAC and the standby batteries. Then, they connect the panel to the host fire alarm control panel. Finally, the system provides supervised voice evacuation.
