The Farenhyt 00RPS-1000CB is the red enclosure cabinet for the RPS-1000 Intelligent Distributed Power Module. It ships as the cabinet only — without the power supply electronics inside.
First, this part is the right choice when the RPS-1000 board is being replaced or relocated. Then, the existing module simply transfers into the new enclosure. As a result, installers avoid scrapping a working module just because the cabinet is damaged.
What Goes in the 00RPS-1000CB Cabinet
The full RPS-1000 system adds 6.0 A of distributed power, six Flexput I/O circuits, and two Form C relays to a Farenhyt Series addressable panel. However, those features live on the RPS-1000 PC board — which is ordered separately.
In addition, the RPS-1000 connects back to the FACP over the RS-485 system bus, with up to 6,000 ft of wiring between them. Furthermore, each RPS-1000 is optically isolated for ground-loop and transient protection. As a result, the cabinet houses the module, its terminals, and the backup batteries in one finished assembly.
Battery Support
The RPS-1000 supports backup batteries from 7 AH up to 33 AH. Use matched 12 V batteries of the same amp-hour rating. However, if the calculated battery load exceeds what fits in this cabinet, specify the RBB Remote Battery Box instead.
