Fenwal 85-897494-000 Electric and Cable Operated Control Head
The Fenwal 85-897494-000 is an explosion-proof control head for fire suppression cylinders. Kidde-Fenwal builds it to actuate an agent cylinder valve. First, it can release the agent electrically at 24 VDC. Alternatively, an operator can actuate it manually by cable.
Where it is used
This control head mounts on a suppression cylinder valve. Specifically, it suits CO2 systems. In addition, it serves as a spare part for clean agent systems. It is not a fire detection device. Instead, it performs the agent-release function on command.
Ratings and contents
The kit carries a UL 1203 explosion-proof listing. This covers Class I, Groups C and D, plus Class II, Groups E, F, and G. Furthermore, the kit includes a Control Head Monitor, P/N 85-100000-100. As a result, the system can supervise the control head position.
