The Notifier FSP-951T is an intelligent addressable multi-criteria detector. It combines photoelectric smoke sensing with a fixed-temperature heat element in one head.
Specifically, the FSP-951T uses Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol. As a result, it reports to the panel as a single addressable point — even though two sensing technologies are inside.
How the Notifier FSP-951T Improves Detection
The photoelectric chamber detects the large smoke particles common in smoldering fires. In addition, the thermal element responds to fast-rising heat from open-flame fires. Therefore, the FSP-951T covers a wider range of fire signatures than a smoke-only detector.
The host panel uses both signals together. As a result, the detector resists nuisance alarms from kitchen steam, dust, or other airborne particulates while still responding quickly to a real fire.
