The federal signal (g-str-024-d-a) is a Global Series flameproof strobe beacon. Specifically, it is an Ex d rated 24 VDC amber xenon strobe for hazardous-area visual notification.
First, the housing is constructed from glass-reinforced polyester for outdoor and corrosive environments. Then the strobe produces a high-intensity 21 J amber flash at 60 flashes per minute. As a result, personnel receive a clear visual alert in offshore, marine, and industrial settings.

Where the G-STR-024-D-A Is Used
Typically, the Global Series amber strobe is installed where standard signaling devices cannot be used. For example, petrochemical, refinery, and offshore marine platforms all require flameproof devices. As a result, this device fits cleanly into a hazardous-area life-safety design.
Furthermore, the non-metallic housing tolerates salt fog and corrosive atmospheres. Therefore, the G-STR-024-D-A is a long-life choice for harsh outdoor sites.
