The Gamewell PIM-SS is a SmartScan™ ten-input monitor module for legacy Gamewell addressable fire alarm panels. It provides ten Class B IDCs — or five Class A IDCs when wired that way. First, the rotary address switches set the first circuit. Then the remaining nine circuits are automatically assigned to subsequent addresses. As a result, the PIM-SS occupies a single physical slot while consuming ten SLC addresses.
Panel Compatibility
The PIM-SS is designed specifically for Gamewell’s SmartScan™ loop-card panels — IF602, IF610, IF632, IF654, and IF658. Therefore, if you are working on a newer E3 Series or S3 Series installation with the Velociti® protocol, the MMI-10F is the modern equivalent. The PIM-SS exists to support retrofit and replacement-in-kind work on existing SmartScan systems.

- Inputs: 10 addressable Class B or 5 addressable Class A IDCs
- Wiring: Removable plug-in terminal blocks, 12-18 AWG
- Address range: 01 to 90 (first circuit; remaining 9 auto-assigned to next addresses)
- Address disable: Jumper matrix can disable up to two unused addresses
- Status: Each circuit reports supervised state (normal, open, or short) back to the panel
- Indicators: Panel-controlled green LED per circuit (blink, latch on, or latch off)
What It Monitors
Each IDC can supervise any normally-open contact device — conventional pull stations, heat detectors, waterflow switches, tamper switches, and similar inputs. In addition, the initiating device loops share a common supervisory supply and ground; otherwise each circuit operates independently.
