KIDDE (GSA-DTS) Duct Smoke Detector Test Station

The Kidde GSA-DTS is a remote test station for Signature-loop duct smoke detectors. First, it provides a momentary test switch at an accessible location. Then, the technician can magnetically activate the duct detector head without climbing into the duct.

In addition, the GSA-DTS gives a status LED for the connected duct housing. As a result, alarm or trouble at the duct detector is visible at the test station. Specifically, this supports NFPA 72 access requirements for duct-mounted detectors.

How the Kidde GSA-DTS Works

The GSA-DTS wires to the matching Signature-loop duct smoke detector housing. Then, the test switch sends a test command to the head. Finally, the head responds as if it sensed smoke, generating an alarm at the panel.

Furthermore, the LED tracks the detector’s status. As a result, building staff can confirm an alarm or trouble condition is at this specific duct location without opening the duct.
