The Edwards MN-BRKT3F is a mounting bracket for Edwards MNEC communications modules inside APS6A series Auxiliary Power Supply enclosures. First, it secures one or more MNEC modules to the cabinet interior. As a result, integrators can build a complete MNEC architecture with power supply, VoIP, serial gateway, and Ethernet switching in a single colocated cabinet.
This is a passive mounting bracket. Specifically, the Edwards MN-BRKT3F has no electrical interface, no wiring, and no electronic components. Therefore, no standalone UL or NFPA listings apply. Agency listings flow from the parent APS6A power supply and the mounted MNEC modules.
Compatible Modules
The Edwards MN-BRKT3F supports three primary MNEC modules. First, it mounts the MN-FVPN Fire VoIP encoder/decoder for IP-based audio communication. Second, it mounts the MN-COM1S MNEC Serial Communications/LAN interface. Third, it mounts the MN-FNS(4) or MN-FNS(8) series Ethernet switch – the four-port or eight-port managed switch family.
Application
Use the Edwards MN-BRKT3F when consolidating MNEC functions inside an APS6A series booster power supply. Then the MNEC architecture fits in one cabinet rather than requiring an additional rack or enclosure. Furthermore, this approach simplifies wiring and reduces total install footprint for retrofit projects.
MN-BRKT3 vs MN-BRKT3F
The MN-BRKT3F is the extended variant of the base MN-BRKT3 bracket. Specifically, the MN-BRKT3F supports the MN-FNS series switches; the original MN-BRKT3 supports the older MN-NETSW1 switch. Therefore, verify which Ethernet switch family is specified for the project before ordering. Also, mixing switch families in one cabinet may require both bracket variants.
Installation Notes
The bracket installs on factory-provided mounting points inside the APS6A cabinet. Then the MNEC modules attach via their standard mounting holes. Also, route all cabling through conduit per the host APS6A installation manual. Finally, confirm bracket revision matches your APS6A revision before installation.
